Good article. He's right as well.

And getting rid of regressive VAT for progressive income tax would probably be a vote winner, too.

The bait points to this:

I believe part of the answer lies in a fundamental aspect of our humanity: the urge to destroy that from which you feel excluded.

thanks for posting. I have learned to deal with clickbait like this: if the title presents a provocative question that could be answered in the title but instead requires clicking to get a simple answer, it's clickbait. they don't get my clicks.

"ONE SIMPLE TRUTH ABOUT HUMANITY!"

we don't like being excluded. okay cool gotcha.

How is posting the title of the article clickbait?

[-] rah@feddit.uk 0 points 6 days ago

I didn't say the posting of the title was clickbait, I said the title was click-bait.

[-] Diddlydee@feddit.uk 3 points 6 days ago

Ok, how is the title clickbait? It's a description of the article.

Do you understand what "clickbait" means?

[-] Zip2@feddit.uk -2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

It’s exactly the same title as they’d use in a printed copy. A click bait headline would be “You won’t believe what right-wing populists are doing”.

[-] rah@feddit.uk 1 points 5 days ago

A click bait headline would also be "Rightwing populists will keep winning until we grasp this truth about human nature".
