@bagder@mastodon.social maybe we shouldn't be trusting github of all places to host critical pieces of internet infrastructure...

@jleedev@mastodon.sdf.org @bagder@mastodon.social congrats on not picking up sarcasm from text, a thing humans are notoriously good at

@aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place a core element of ‘dad’ humor lies in not picking up sarcasm, likely because they're always tired from picking up everything else. i could perhaps clarify in my bio that i don't claim to be 'human' or 'good at' anything, thanks for the note.

Yay, finally git and not mercurial, but nay, why github and not Forgejo/Gitea/Gitlab?

[-] mmu_man@m.g3l.org 1 points 5 days ago

@bagder@mastodon.social just when we should actually move away from github…

[-] schmic@hessen.social 2 points 6 days ago

@bagder@mastodon.social Are you asking to flood them with AI-generated bug reports? 😎

Pfff…

@bagder@mastodon.social finally goodbye to mercurial. What a slow-ass revision control system that was.

@bagder@mastodon.social so they’re pushing for #Microsoft to pick up the bill from #Google or what?

When will #fsf or #kernel.org even just adopt and fork #firefox so we can have a truly open source and maintained browser for all?

We just don’t need or should want a #Mozilla Corp anymore imho…

[-] PersonWhoExists@mastodon.social 1 points 6 days ago

@bagder@mastodon.social they’ve started to show how much they care about foss and I’m starting to trend towards that amount of care for them.

@bagder@mastodon.social Finally. This should have happened ages ago. I wonder whether more people will contribute now that it is on GitHub.

[-] jan@fedi.kcore.org 1 points 6 days ago

@bagder@mastodon.social whatever people might think about the choice of location, this is a really good thing as it opens up the possibility of people to contribute in an easier fashion. Git is just better known, I think?

It will also bring AI slop, unfortunately, but I hope the good outweighs the bad.
