For context see The Pure Situation explained

A translation of https://www.huya.com/883235 by /u/kAliNeiD in this reddit post:

Chalice talked about drama behind Bali Major invidents involving Nouns and BB during his live broadcast at Huya https://www.huya.com/883235:

"The organizer has a clear bias and shifts the blame for banning Pure to AR.

  1. About Nouns: After the first game, Nouns' coach asked the organizer to inform them that they couldn't use the bug. Chalice was angry because Nouns had used the bug to get fy's first blood in the first game. So, in the second game, Chalice made a fake move to tease the opposing coach by using left-click selection (which doesn't trigger the bug). The opposing coach immediately reported it to the organizer, who ruled against them without verification. Later, Chalice asked the organizer to check it themselves, and the decision was revoked.
  2. About BB: AR told the organizer they wanted to play Tundra because they had studied Tundra all night. The organizer said the announcement had been made and couldn't be changed. AR was already angry with the organizer (after the Nouns incident) and wanted to embarrass them, so they told the organizer to follow the rules completely. As a result, the organizer banned Pure but shifted the blame to AR, telling BB it was all AR's request, even though AR's initial request was to let BB stay in the winner's group."

Additional update, a weibo post translated by /u/Academic_Mobile_6009 in this reddit post (The translator put their personal notes into parenthesis, I'm just going to copy/paste and include them here as well):

  1. About Nouns' incident

The premise is, almost every pro player knew the watcher bug before major, and also used it in major.

Then, the night before AR vs Nouns, Nouns reported this bug to organizer by recording Chalice's POV. After further reporting to Valve, it was determined as a bug. Our team was told this announcement during the first game vs Nouns and be told using this bug will be def loss from next game. However, after the second game, organizer still got a report that we used this bug that Chalice and 天命 moved their camera and left-click-and-drag the watcher area. (translator's note: according to Chalice's stream they were just trolling organizer , lol. Note2: sorry it should be Nouns' coach they intended to troll, not the TO) When we were wating for tiebreaker game, organizer asked our manager to their office and announced the def loss decision that the game would be 1-1. After our manager appealed and watched the evidence, he told organizer the left-click-and-drag does not trigger that bug at all, but organizer still wanted to maintain the penalty:

  1. organizer said there was no reason for players to do that other than using bug (note: again, trolling would be a great reason). Our manager retorted that without a reason or not, it still doesn't proc any bug.
  2. organizer thought players were using quick attack. Our manager asked them to check players settings and if organizer thought they did some last minute change, organizer could watch them play a pug game to see if players shows any weird move. organizer refused to do that.
  3. organizer did not check replay to see if other team also used this bug.

In the end, after organizer's 1.5 hr close meeting, they withdrew the penalty and explained the misunderstanding to us.

  1. About the LB game with Betboom

The premise is, Pure tabbed out to stream, (note: bla bla bla, we all know what happened). At that night, Tundra said they dont care if organizer make any penalty to pure or not, and organizer just made an announcement in late night only claim that no tabbing out to any software any more, no penalty to BB , AR still vs Tundra.

Then, the next day after LGD vs TS second game, we suddenly realized organizer changed the schedule to AR vs BB without any notice. We asked organizer to follow the old schedule cuz we studied Tundra's strat for two days and it should not be wasted due to BB's mistake. but the organizer refused to do that and emphasized that "according to the rulebook, BB must be def loss". However, organizer ignored chapter 5.2 in rulebook, the cheated player must be banned. After we showed the rulebook, the organizer asked us if we accept Pure be banned AFTER the games vs us, we rejected. We clearly told the organizer, either just revoke the penalty to let us play against Tundra, or just follow the rulebook strictly to ban Pure immediately. We had no intention to target Betboom or Pure at all, and fully respect them, but still we have the right to say no to any unfair treatment.

In the end, the organizer decided to ban Pure after communicated with Betboom. However, during the communication, our appeal was tempered to "AR only agree to play with Betboom without Pure, otherwise they will abandon the game.", which droped their responsibility and led us to be that bad guy.

We really appreciate the organizer took care of us in daliy life during the major, but in competitive level, no ssd in game pc (note: what? note2: the op is kinda vague, could be “no ssd specifically for each team”, or ”no ssd set up for professional dota tournament”, sorry for misleading), and the refs are amateur and lazy, just playing cellphone or sleeping during game. and the organizer cannot handle incidents very well.
