Cola! Sat 17 May 2025

  • Brush: Chisel and Hound Azurite with 26 mm Maggard Tuxedo knot
  • Razor: Koraat – r/Wetshaving exclusive Moarteen (15/16", full hollow, carbon steel)
  • Lather: Barrister and Mann – Le Grand Chypre
  • Post Shave: Hâttric – Classic

LGC might be my scent for this summer. Fun, fresh, and who doesn't like a coke when it's warm?

No compulsory drug tests where you are working?

  • Brush: Chisel & Hound - Cherry w/ v25 Fanchurian
  • Razor: Chiseled Face - Legacy Ti
  • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
  • Lather: Catie's Bubbles - Crangère - Soap
  • Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles - Crangère - Aftershave
  • Fragrance: Catie's Bubbles - Crangère - EdP

First full use of the Crangère trifecta. I love the EdP, but the jury is still out on the soap. Lather is amazing, but sometimes I don't want a full perfume level scent in a soap. Maybe I just should have waited for a different day to use it.

May 17th, 2025: Wow

  • Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
  • Razor: Joseph Rogers & Sons - Near Wedge (2)
  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Rhapsody - Soap
  • Post Shave: Chatillon Lux - Sni Mato - Aftershave

This is my second shave with this razor, and both times have been incredible. Some folks might consider this edge unacceptable -- slightly tuggy, a little ugly, and a non-traditional sharpening method of 600 -> 10,000, but it works.

Even my best DE shaves don't often get this close. I still plan on putting more work into this razor, both cosmetically and trying to refine the edge a bit.

How dare you, good Sir, how dare you!

  • Brush: Yaqi 24mm Synthetic Panda
  • Razor: King C. Gillette DE Razor
  • Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (39)
  • Lather: Haslinger Algae
  • Postshave: Williams Aqua Velva
  • Postshave: Nivea After Shave Balm

Repeat shave from yesterday. The blade is not the most efficient anymore – but I will probably still push it to 50, and then give up.

Have a good evening!

  • Brush: Rad Dinosaur Creations "Stardust" - TurnNShave 26mm Shoat
  • Razor: Yates Precision Manufacturing - 921-M
  • Blade: Bolzano Superinox (5)
  • Lather: Catie’s Bubbles - Crangère - Soap
  • Post Shave: Catie’s Bubbles - Crangère - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Stirling - Glacial Unscented - Balm
  • Fragrance: Catie’s Bubbles - Crangère - EdP

Very nice tart woody scent. Such a pleasure to shave with. The 921-M felt a little rough today, I probably need to bin this blade.
