In a video livestreamed from the boat and posted by the FFC, activist Yasmin Acar showed a white substance on the deck, saying it had been dropped on the vessel. Acar was later heard saying it was affecting her eyes. Before the live stream ended, Acar could be heard saying the Israeli military was communicating with the board
That's kinda disappointing. I didn't expect it to go well but this is just kinda a nothing burger. They had to have known the boat wasn't going to make it.
“Israel has no legal authority to detain international volunteers aboard the Madleen,” said Huwaida Arraf, human rights attorney and Freedom Flotilla organizer.
They are engaged in god damn genocide. You think they give a fuck about the legality of detaining a few europeans? nearly every nation will put you in prison for trying to enter illegally by boat. Australia has a concentration camp on Nauru Island for this exact purpose.
Why don't people get it, non-violent protest has never worked. You aren't running a blockade if you just sit there with your hands up when they stop you. This is theater.
At the very least they could have rigged the boat and bailed when the idf came and claimed that it was the zionists that blew up the boat. This action puts next to no pressure on the entity.
And what are you doing to try to help the victims of the genocide?

Why would you muddy the waters framing them for something when they're committing more than enough crimes on their own? If just one instance of framing were proven it would give them something to point at and claim that everything else being said about them is fake or a setup too.
You are looking into an outhouse and talking about muddying the waters. In this media landscape no claim will go unchallenged regardless of how much evidence there is. The zionists and their supporters already say everything video exposing the genocide is staged by actors. So telling a lie isn't going to make any difference.
The zionists and their supporters are as ideologically polarized as they can get. They are supporting a genocide. The people opposed to genocide however have a lot of room to be radicalized. They need to be motivated to go beyond words. If a Greta said "israel blew up my boat and tried to kill me" and israel says "they blew up their own boat" nobody is going to change sides. What will change is how far people will go bringing an end to the genocide.
Most people aren't indifferent to the plight of Palestine they are just afraid of what will happen if they speak too loudly against the status quo. "Raising awareness" stunts like this are years too late. There is enough awareness. Moving the "genocide bad" people to "israel is a terrorist state that has no right to exist and anyone who disagrees deserves to burn" is the only useful purpose of the propaganda war. Greta getting arrested again doesn't do that.
All fair and very valid points. I'm still not so sure about the sabotage plan, but, I can't deny your logic is sound!
@Commiejones are you stupid or just unable to understand what it means to fight the massive propaganda machine protecting Israel?
You honestly can't be that stupid. Can you?
Easy. Personal attacks are really not needed here. Unlike the vast majority of the world it seems, here, we are mostly all on the same side. It is very possible to keep things civil if we just pause before responding, and remember we're all real people here in what seems like an impossible situation. Out of the box thinking is needed to resolve situations like that, and when you're thinking outside of the box you're going to have more misses than hits.
Most of us pride ourselves on this being a more civil place than 'the other site'. Let's all keep working to keep it that way please.
This doesn't make the zionist entity look any worse than it already did does it? So it isn't a propaganda win. It is a wasted effort.
Don't get me wrong I respect that they are doing something but for just a tiny bit more risk they could have gotten far bigger returns.
Israel strafed a US spy ship that was monitoring them.

Israeli zionists and mossad do things that would make Hitler blush.
Laying down in front of a tank only works as a strategy if the tank driver has enough humanity left in him not to squish you like a bug.
They will not respect meekness, they only respect power.
It is painfully obvious that this traumatized population of refugees has allowed it's own worst elements, its own genocidal monsters to "protect" them.
They will not ever stop, they will not cede until the country is liberated from its occupiers and they will not go quietly.
We can definitely criticize israel without downplaying what Hitler did.
In no way am I downplaying what Hitler did, Israel has perfected his process while playing the internationnal community into disorganized inaction, maintaining extreme marginalization and slow motion encroachement without boiling over enough that anyone tries to physically stop them or even monitor them too close. (USS Liberty). Meanwhile they have been cultivating a climate of permanent terror in their victim population (assassinations, abduction, bribery) leading to hopelessness and helplessness, pushing them to pointless bombastic violence and creating the justifying space for retaliation.
This has been going on for decades, they have genocide a sustainable, tolerable process of history rather than the orgy of butchery of the third Reich.
They are on their way to accomplish what Hitler simply couldn't, lebensraum without international intervention.

"she was killed by an Israeli armored bulldozer that crushed her"
Ah, well, I didn't know it had literally happenned, I was using laying in front of bulldozers in a metaphorical sense...
