Up until now, I have been doing privacy videos with just my voice. Now after viewers refused to connect even a $0 Ethereum wallet because of a complete lack of trust in an anonymous shadowy figure, I have come forward to sacrifice my anonymity to advocate for and spread adoption of decentralized social media that is more resistant to censorship.

Yes the website is not fully decentralized yet. Yes MetaMask has privacy issues. But if you evaluate the technology we’re presenting, you'll understand why it's better than Google’s Youtube.

Sorry I have to say this, but you misinformed people here, saying one shouldn’t use Feather on Tails. It’s okay, everyone makes a mistake, but you stopped engaging conversations here on Monero.town as soon as questions were asked related to your confusing statements. So I’m not sure how to feel about this, although what you’re trying to do seems generally interesting and your website can be informative if one doesn’t believe it blindly.

In fact, your website still claims “Although you’d think Feather wallet would be the slowest because of Tor, it’s actually very efficient and fast as a light wallet. Since the IP address is hidden” etc. which is kind of confusing (Feather is fast by default because syncing is not via Tor, so your IP is not hidden). You’d trivially know such basics if you were an actual wallet user, let alone someone suitable to author wallet tutorials. Perhaps you can help us with other things, not about Monero wallets. Thank you!

The website was updated to fix the double Tor mistake. And will adjust accordingly for the download. I thought I had replied on monero.town, I apologize if this was not the case.

I'd be careful before cursing me out and trying to make me an outsider. What have you created of value?

I’m talking about facts, not talking about you personally. I use Feather from time to time, so I know a little about it. I’m ignorant about many other things, though.

Describing Feather, I’d first say it’s Electrum-like. That may be the #1 reason why someone familiar with Electrum may want to consider using Feather. I’d also say coin control—which is something you can’t do with the official GUI. Unlike Bitcoin, coin control is usually unnecessary, except if you mine, you’ll get a lot of tiny coins and the inside of your wallet will quickly become messy (like having 10 € all with 1 cent coins, so to speak). That’s where Feather is very helpful 😺

Yeah, no hard feelings :) and sorry I was not clear enough originally.

I’m a Tails user having Feather there, so if someone says in the Monero community, “Don’t use Feather on Tails,” then naturally I’ll comment on it, especially if the statement seems to be based on misunderstanding about Tor. But that does not mean I’m attacking that poster personally, and I’ll also ask them to correct me if I’m wrong, because there might be indeed some issues with Tails + Feather that I don’t know yet, and if so I’d really like to learn about them. That’s exactly what I did, but you didn’t reply, so…

Not believing what you read blindly is just common sense. Nothing personal. It’s just “Don’t assume; verify.”

Some other articles on your website, or links in them, are informative for everyone. IIRC one of the links you shared is Google Says It Doesn’t 'Sell' Your Data. Here’s How the Company Shares, Monetizes, and Exploits It. (EFF), a very good one. Keep up the great work!
