It took me a moment to realise the line is to indicate he's the one saying it. It's not a thermometer or something.

On one hand, the memes now are better than the ones during Covid.

On the other hand, the situation is presently worse than a global pandemic. Sadly, one cannot simply prevent fascism with a vaccine. That can only be prevented with education, and that was the first thing that the fascists dismantled.
