Finland recently passed a law prohibiting under 15 year olds from riding electric scooters and similar vehicles. Up untill now, the average age of the people hospitalized for accidents with these has been 12 years.
They banned them from riding just...anywhere? Or from public roads?
I see a lot of actual children just cruising around on main streets with these things with obviously no helmets. But if it goes just 5km/h faster, you need a motorcycle helmet. It's so weird.
This seems like a great idea, and hopefully helps with reducing the amount of kids just turned loose on them because they are "just a bike/scooter".
