Is Github the best way to submit a bug report? I've never used it before but I'm happy to try to figure it out.

On this version of Mlem I'm encountering two issues that I haven't experienced before. One is that if I go into a link in a post and play media, the media continues to play in the background even when I've backed out of the site and have moved on to a new post. It seems to use a bunch of battery (obviously, I suppose).

The other is that I used to be able to refresh my account tab and it would update the tally of votes and comments, but it no longer seems to do that. Same behavior within a post itself - if I pull down to update it doesn't refresh the vote count and show new comments.

Thanks for all of your hard work on Mlem - it's really appreciated!

GitHub is the most convenient way for us, but we also accept bug reports here and on Matrix. Whatever is easiest for you :)

Thanks for letting us know about these bugs. I've created issues on GitHub to keep track track them:

I can't reproduce either of these issues at the moment. Could you provide us with some more info to help us track this down? It would be useful to know:

  • Your Mlem version (Settings tab -> "About Mlem")
  • Your iOS version
  • iPhone or iPad?

Absolutely, thanks for creating these on GitHub. I'll learn how to do it if I find anything else.

Mlem version 2.2 (458) iOS version 18.6.1 iPhone (15, if it's at all relevant)

I'll try to capture a video of it the next time it occurs. Issue 2219 should be pretty reproducible on my side. I noticed it a few times yesterday but need to try to remember how I noticed it.
