What does illegaism have to do with foreskin

[-] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I just think it's funny, and I can't be serious in anything that I do, but I'm open to replacing that bit with a more relevant line if anyone's got any good ideas

Edit: it's not just random though btw- it's a provocative and absurdist tag line relevant to themes of personal insurrection

Be sure to follow the Anarchist Code of Conduct

[-] AmidFuror@fedia.io 2 points 1 week ago

Anarchist code of conduct. Lol.

[-] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago

It's an instance thing. I can see how it sounds funny to folks who don't know what anarchism is, but it's pretty standard

[-] AmidFuror@fedia.io 1 points 1 week ago

No, it's fine. We'll just pick representatives to enforce the code and all will be good.

[-] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago

I can see how it might sound silly if you don't know what anarchism actually is but, again, it's pretty standard stuff

[-] Sternhammer@aussie.zone 0 points 1 week ago

The popular association of ‘anarchism’ with ‘chaos’ and that organisation is anathema to anarchists has long been a source of humour. It’s a convenient misdirection for the ruling class who are directly threatened by an idea that humans can live without, you know, rulers.

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Breaking the law just to break the law isn't cool or anarchistic.

Breaking unjust laws (including laws that only protect the ruling class), on the other hand, is the coolest shit you can do.

Do drugs. Give teens beer. Steal from Walmart.

Breaking the law just to break the law isn't cool or anarchistic.

It kind of is tho

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Killing someone just to break the law is not in fact cool.

Stealing from a big company just because it breaks the law is cool tho.

[-] FundMECFS@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

But that’s not the law illegalism recommends you to break. This is kinda a strawman.

The Anarchist code of conduct, which the comm is based upon does not encourage random murders lol.

This pic from the comm might help explain:

[-] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I never said it's what it recommends. Just that the OP is acting like breaking any law for the sake of breaking it is cool

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org -1 points 1 week ago

That's a reading comprehension problem on your part.

[-] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 1 week ago

Maybe if they explained the idea better, but without knowing what the intent is, this shit reads like a teenager who just first found out about anarchy and thinks it's about pure chaos.

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 0 points 1 week ago

That's a knee jerk reaction.

Nothing OP said so far suggests that.

Y'all are projecting your own emotional response onto him.

give teens beer

No

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 1 points 1 week ago

This should resonate with the piracy crowd.

Also, thus sounds like what the ruling class engages in

[-] nutsack@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

is it just memes? im not subscribing to a community for memes. i hate memes.

The community isn't even 24hrs old yet

Why are you like this?

There's a "tip/trick" post (in meme format, yes), there's a theory post, there's a "share your graffiti" post...

I'm focusing on establishing/growing the community right now. It's been up for only 25 hours.

Perhaps you could post something more along the lines of what you'd like to see

[-] omniman@anarchist.nexus 0 points 1 week ago

Does it include killing innocent people ?

[-] MachineFab812@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 week ago

Be more specific. As is, you're describing the actions of states and madmen, not anarchists.

[-] possumparty@lemmy.blahaj.zone -1 points 1 week ago

No I don't want it, it's prettier without it

Rules

The rules for behavior are a straight carry over of Mastodon.World's rules. You can click the link but we've reposted them here in brief, as a guideline. We will continue to use the Mastodon.World rules as the master list. Over all, be nice to each other and remember this isn't a community built around debate. For the rules about formatting your posts, scroll down to number 2.

1. Follow the rules of Mastodon.world, which can be found here.

A. Provide an inclusive and supportive environment. This means if it isn't rulebreaking and we can't be supportive to them then we probably shouldn't engage.

B. No illegal content.

C. Use content warnings where appropriate. This means mark your submissions NSFW if need be.

D. No uncivil behavior. This includes, but is not limited to: Name Calling; Bullying; Trolling; Disruptive Commenting; or Personal Criticisms.

E. No Harrassment. As an example in relation to Transgender people this includes, deadnaming, misgendering, and promotion of conversion therapy. Similarly Misogyny, Misandry, and Racism are also banned here.

2. Include a community or instance title and description in your post title. - A following example of this would be New Communities - A place to post new communities or instances all over Lemmy for discovery and promotion.

3. Follow the formatting. - The formatting as included below is important for people getting universal links across Lemmy as easily as possible.

Formatting

Please include this following format in your post:

[link text](/c/community@instance.com)

This provides a link that should work across instances, but in some cases it won't

You should also include either:

!community@instance.com

or instance.com/c/community

FAQ:

Q: Why do I get a 404?

A: At least one user in an instance needs to search for a community before it gets fetched. Searching for the community will bring it into the instance and it will fetch a few of the most recent posts without comments. If a user is subscribed to a community, then all of the future posts and interactions are now in-sync.

Q: When I try to create a post, the circle just spins forever. Why is that?

A: This is a current known issue with large communities. Sometimes it does get posted, but just continues spinning, but sometimes it doesn't get posted and continues spinning. If it doesn't actually get posted, the best thing to do is try later. However, only some people seem to be having this problem at the moment.
