Hey everybody. I didn't post the thread yesterday because I was on vacation this past week, but with a 3 day weekend today is spiritually sunday. Anyway, I have completed all the rememberences in Nightreign, and so thought my time with the game is at an end, but they just announced that a new ultra hard mode is coming out soon, so I will definately be checking that out. Other than that, I played some more balatro on my phone while I was away. Hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend

A couple: First Crime Scene Simulator, cleaning games scratch some kinda itch in the back of my brain that actually cleaning my house just doesn’t lol. The new nightmare mode maps are cool. Puzzles are pretty obtuse but there are guides for that. It and Powerwasher Sim 2 will keep me fed until Viscera Cleanup Detail 2 comes out (hopefully sooner rather than later!).

Second is Dreamlight Valley. I don’t care if it makes me a Disney adult, it’s Animal Crossing but it respects your time waaay more. As much as I love AC I don’t think I could ever go back. Miss villagers being mean to you? All the villains are assholes, and you can disappear them if you hate that too. Clothes don’t take inventory space and you can change everything on the fly. You can change the time of day with no penalty from in the game. If you wanna no life it and grind stuff out you don’t really even need to time travel. It IS an ad for Disney, and there IS a cash shop inside of a paid game, so I definitely understand bouncing off based on that. But under that is a really good cozy game if that’s your thing.

I've played a lot of both Peak and Sonic Racing Crossworlds network test with friends this weekend.

I'm very hopefully for Sonic Racing being a very high skill ceiling racer (snaking is viable for those familiar with the term).

Looking ahead to the new Everybody's Golf release this week. I'll probably pick both it and the Sonic game up whenever they hit ~$30

Started playing Sekiro, really satisfying combat mechanics and great atmosphere

I'm playing this f2p shit battle roayle with gacha and waifus called Farlight 84 and somehow I'm liking it.

I hate battle roayles, but I can't find any other good shooters that work well on Linux. I tried Strinova, but I realised that I dislike CS like games more than battle royales.

The F84 has solid mechanics, the battleroayle is not so irritating because your teammates can respawn you and the weapons don't have tiers of totally bullshit vs OP, so even without any attachments, if you land a solid hit on someone you're golden. The gacha stuff is just cosmetics and some of that shit is available to purchase without the gacha part. The characters are good, they are not OP and their abilities are not something that you use them more than shooting (my problem with Marvel Rivals is that I realised that I spent more time doing everything except shooting). The bad part of the game is that if you are not playing ranked or you are playing when the server population is low the match is mostly bots.

Honestly half the reason I'm digging the game is that the chinese water dragon girl and the catgirl hacker are both characters that fit really well the way I like to play.

I torrented metal gear solid delta but the FOV is so narrow even with a mod to increase it I don't want to play it

Civ 5. Been trying to work up to deity. Feel like I can reliably do immortal but I don’t think I’m practiced enough in the diplomacy of distraction and groveling to survive the next level. Hands down some of the chillest vibes a game can give though

I've been playing Astalon Tears of the Earth. This is honestly one of the best metroidvanias I've ever played and I'd never heard of it. It's basically rogue legacy with void stranger vibes. Highly recommend, I got it on GOG.

Been playing KSP still, trying to understand how USI WOLF works because it seems like a recipe for kraken-proof off Kerbin resource extraction and ISRU but it's really complicated

Loving me some project silverfish! It's like tarkov and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. had a baby

Finished Abiotic Factor last week, played a bit of Lord of the Rings Online again while listening to podcasts.

Tried Cultist Simulator for the first time yesterday and it is fascinating.

Today i'm gonna play Silksong! And probably keep playing it for a while.
