You can block auto play in Firefox and related browsers FYI (dunno about other browsers off the top of my head). I guarantee you that the web devs that made this also hate it, but the higher ups/marketing dept demanded it. Speaking as a person who has been in web dev for a little over a decade, I hate this shit, but all the pushback will do nothing unless you can find a way that would make the company legally liable.
I'm on a PC with a 40" TV for a monitor. No idea you phone browsers survive this bullshit.
