Chinese infrastructure isn't particularly built to last.

It's called Tofu Buildings, and the Chinese government regularly suppresses media and the populace from finding out about the lacklustre building standards throughout China. Whenever there's a building collapse, China is quick to censor it, even posts calling for help to look for survivors.

Radio Free Asia is a US propaganda tool. Nice source. Also interesting that they asked a Taiwanese professor of all people. So the suppression angle is not credible.

Corrupt planners, which seemingly are at fault here, IMO point towards greedy opportunists, trying to make a quick buck.

But you reeaally try to imply “China bad”. Why would you hone in on that so specifically, when it wasn’t part of the discussion. How about you move your ass over there and post your clever feedback directly under the original post, instead of cowardly spewing sinophobia in your little hate community?

Their mod also gave a solid reason for the deletion and if you would have bothered, you’d include the several comments in opposition to Semi’s low effort spam comment with lots of actual information. He’s not coming out well from this, as he’s just commenting dumb shit without actual content. Ya, congratulations for showcasing your dumb ignorance, Semi. But alas, goat, you’re not interested in that, because you are a dishonest little propagandist, aren’t you?

At least they’re open about their direct congressional funding. Not sure what else to call it other then propaganda.

What’s your idea how fascism rises? What is your utopia? Why are you participating in a community based on gossip, propaganda and on hate towards an outgroup? But this is an interesting example of how tankies operate and why you can't argue with them, or any extremist for that matter. If any source is Western, they must instantly deny it, unless they can find a way to support their position, often by omitting key details.

The key detail here is that the USAGM is independent of the US government, and that the orange turd issued an executive order directing the elimination of the USAGM, which is legally dubious and funnily enough supports Russia and China.

So again, if RFA is a US propaganda tool, why do they need to plead or sue? And why would the US willingly give up media presence in Africa?

Why you asking me about internal US affairs? The actual question is how it’s independent, if their financials are in direct dependance of the US government? What would you call a Chinese or Russian media outlet openly funded by their own governments? Oh, because democracy vs authoritarianism? lol. You keep embarrassing yourself, again.

That's when laws and torts come into play, giving power to go against the government, which RFA is doing. There are no laws in place that allow RT News or other state media to go against their government, and they are beholden to government departments, such as Chinese media needing to obey the Propaganda Department

To guarantee the freedom and impartiality of RFA, there is the USAGM and the firewall, and laws.

So again, if RFA is a US propaganda tool, why do they need to plead or sue?

Just so it‘s clear: You posted an RFA article to spread some sinophobic propaganda. That‘s what I critiqued in the first paragraph of my inital answer. There were a couple more paragraphs.

But we‘re really busy now going back and forth on a validity of the claim if RFA is a US propaganda tool. And that‘s not even a controversial statement. But you‘ve got nothing and you need to cling onto that point.

Anyway, you know what else is independent? The CIA. You wouldn‘t argue that they are acting independent from or against the interests of the US of A, wouldn‘t you?

As mentioned previously in the Wikipedia article you linked it’s clear, that Trump thinks they‘re a hindrance to his power grab, because the Board was stacked with Biden appointees.

The insteresting part however is, how you need to twist yourself to argue that this media outlet is not what it was meant to be from its inception. That‘s just ridiculous and lays bare your propgandist nature. You‘re denying facts and not the first time, tho, so there‘s a pattern.

RFA was established by the US International Broadcasting Act of 1994 with the stated aim of "promoting democratic values and human rights", and countering the narratives and monopoly on information distribution of the Chinese Communist Party, as well as providing media reports about the North Korean government.

The other interesting part is, how you try to uphold any validity of US law or moral standards, which since Trump started his second term are under attack from the current autocratic and fascist reconstruction. You. Are. A. Ridiculous. Propagandist.

Why are you comparing an intelligence agency with one that allows for free media reporting? The CIA isn't a media company. You can't even make that comparison.
