Meraki is cloud controlled, so without that connection or licence you can only use the config that was on it prior to the disconnect if I remember right.
Ah that is unfortunate. I appreciate the insight on it. I’ll just take it up to microcenter one of these days to recycle it.
Best buy also takes ewaste also. Just tell them its for ewaste and they will let yoy know where to take it.
Meraki is just e-waste without it's (really expensive) license. I've seen cheaper licences floating around on sketchy websites but wouldn't recommend it.

They are excellent in my experience. Very easy to work with. Had a bad batch of APs that all died on me but that was almost a decade ago and the replacements were just fine. Used a couple of sample devices I got from Meraki (they gave them out for participating in their seminars) and used them until the 2 year license ran out. Now I'm mostly using Mikrotik with RouterOS at home. Way more advanced but also more fun to mess around with.
