I want to find a community of people that will rage against the machine, so I've started playing slots.
I'm still bummed that I missed their last tour ever, hope they change their minds and throw a farewell tour, but honestly we were damn lucky to get that one.
wins the jackpot, now everyone is your friend
Ah, it's too early in the day... I read this first as "pick up hobbits" and was intrigued...
If you pick the right Hobbits, you’ll get a free trip to Isengard.
The hobbits, the hobbits, the hobbits...
I do actually have some hobbies that are useful for meeting people. Issue is I'm the kind of nerd who even has trouble connecting with other nerds when I meet them.
Same! (I also tend to mumble sheepishly at the floor when I speak, which doesn't help.)
(TBH my biggest issue is probably not the way I interact with people, but that due to health reasons I'm really bad at keeping appointments, but that's kinda beyond the scope of this comic)
Some ideas: join a community garden and learn to grow fresh produce. Start a public book club to learn and explore with others. Find a maker space to design and tinker. Join an armed resistance movement to fight the fascist takeover of your country. So many fun pastimes!
how does one do the last bit, uh...researching for a book i'm writing, promise
My hobbies are computer science and homosexuality. I am temporarily in Finland and damn are computer sciencentists here boring
The solution is clear: Find Finnish homosexuals and teach them computer science.
Is there a way to see it without having an account?
Oh weird, I don't even have a webtoons account and I can see it. Try this archive.org link, maybe that will work? https://web.archive.org/web/20251012164905/https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/azul-crescents-silly-scribbles/pick-up-hobbies-that-let-you-meet-like-minded-people/viewer?title_no=934441&episode_no=463
This comic isn't paywalled, wdym?

Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
