I'm trying to get Sound Voltex EXCEED GEAR (Konasute) to run on my PC (running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed) and I'm having some issues.

After installing the game, it boots properly, and it seems to run fine, but a lot of the audio is missing. I checked the wine logs and noticed the following error:

winegstreamer error: decodebin1: Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in.
winegstreamer error: decodebin1: ../gst/playback/gstdecodebin2.c(4720): gst_decode_bin_expose (): /GstBin:bin0/GstDecodeBin:decodebin1:
no suitable plugins found:
Missing decoder: Windows Media Audio 9 (audio/x-wma, wmaversion=(int)3, bitrate=(int)384000, depth=(int)24, rate=(int)44100, channels=(int)2, block_align=(int)17833, codec_data=(buffer)1800030000000000000000000000e0000000)

So i tried installing the other gstreamer plugins (both 64 bit and 32), but the same error appears.

Trying to install wmp from winetricks seems to work only for the 32 bit version and breaks the prefix (the game is 64 bit only and searches for dlls it can't find).

The same thing happens on both wine and wine-staging.

Anyone know how to install the codec properly?

Edit: I also tried running it through Steam (with ProtonGE), through ProtonGE directly (which gave me errors with gstreamer again, this time either not finding libraries or finding them for the wrong arch) and through Lutris with both WineGE (no luck with this, it just gives me a black screen and hangs) and ProtonGE (same as with standalone wine, the game launches but most of the audio is missing). I had previously tried running it in Bottles, but the results are always the same.

Edit 2: finally got it to run, I'm not sure what changed, but I tried Bottles again. I made a fresh bottle set to "Gaming" and wine-ge as the runner (I know it's dead, but it should have the proper decoder), and after installing the dependencies, it just worked.

I'm still curious on how to fix system wine tho, if anyone knows how.
