Path of Exile is one of those games that might be appealing to communists because you have to investigate theory, make a 5 year plan called a PoB, and build class power (specing all 8 Ascendancy Class passive points).

I've lost way too much of my life to PoE and have no intention of getting back into it, but the most fun I've had in the game has been playing with new people online while in voice chat on Discord and grinding/farming maps.

The game is also really fun on the Steam Deck as long as you make a build that doesnt need mouse aiming (my last playthrough was with blade vortex). Every couple of days I would then spend time on my PC doing inventory management and trades. Good times.
