I absolutely love that they included a wider shot in the article that most people probably scrolled past, but I caught this in it:

[-] some_designer_dude@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

This should be its own post

[-] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 8 points 3 weeks ago
[-] MeThisGuy@feddit.nl 0 points 2 weeks ago

well he's not kneeling

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 weeks ago

"He says I'm number one!"

[-] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 14 points 3 weeks ago

[off topic?]

For those who didn't know, Donald previously screwed up an entire football league by trying to overleverage.

https://youtu.be/vWxMCLHXkVc

[-] LordMayor@piefed.social 4 points 3 weeks ago

He did that after trying to buy an NFL team but getting denied by at every attempt by NFL management.

[-] angstylittlecatboy@reddthat.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

This is why my dad hated Trump before he was in politics

[-] VeryVito@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago

Everyone did! Trump was a joke his whole life before he turned into a tragedy.

[-] santa@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

He does that to everything.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I can't find a longer video than what's in the article. It's pretty harsh. I had to check since sometimes it's not as bad as they say. What is he reading?

Edit: I had to do the thing, it's in the article:

The jeers came down even harder when Trump, flanked by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, read out the military Oath of Enlistment to swear in new troops.

[-] Arghblarg@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 weeks ago

Bonespurs' tongue should have burst into flames, him reading that oath to others is... rich.

God I need to stop reading news these days.

[-] WatDabney@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

It's sort of amusing that the profound psychological issues that make him the most corrupt POTUS in history, the most self-absorbed POTUS in history, the most dishonest POTUS in history and the most deranged POTUS in history also make him the most tone-deaf POTUS in history.

[-] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 3 points 3 weeks ago

We better hurry up and do something about it because history is written by the winners

[-] WatDabney@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

History is only written by the winners when the winners benefit their civilization.

When, as has consistently happened in the latter days of past civilizations and as will be the case if Trump and the oligarchs and their fascist tools win, the winners solely benefit themselves and thus ultimately destroy their civilization, history is written by third parties.

[-] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 1 points 2 weeks ago

Not true. China rewrites history all the time. You should know this.

[-] zbyte64@awful.systems 0 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

... Because China is working to benefit their civilization. When that ceases to be the case their people will stop listening.

The CCP is guilty of some absolutely heinous things but high-level they do a lot of building and investing. It’s a lot of headline stuff but it’s better than what the US is doing. The US can’t even build public transit within most of its major cities and each state is constantly fighting with the other ones. The people in charge enrich themselves not quietly but as loud as possible.

China sucks, but they do have at least a small point.

[-] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 7 points 3 weeks ago

I really hope it hurts him

[-] metallic_substance@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

Can't feel shame if you're shameless and have mid-stage brain rot!

[-] YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago

Mid stage? His level is fucking terminal!

[-] falseWhite@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Knowing him, he will say "people were cheering for me, they love me!".

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

The majority of American citizens did not vote for him. The majority of citizens were busy. I'm pretty sure about 85 million Americans didn't vote. The majority is silent.

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

So... 85 million Americans need to experience pain before they realize sitting out the election is a bad idea. Not bad, they're getting there...

[-] criss_cross@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

I wish he didn’t infect the NFL with his grubby child loving grip.

[-] NoForwardslashS@sopuli.xyz 1 points 3 weeks ago

Come on now, he doesn't only have sex with the grubby ones.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Was at a bar watching NFL with the bros when they kept showing his fucking face.

We tried to ignore it at first but they just kept showing it.

We started loudly booing. At one point I shouted "WHY AM I BEING FORCED TO STARE AT A FELON RAPIST JUST TO WATCH FOOTBALL?"

This bar is in California, but I guarantee some conservatives were there. Too bad. They're filth and are putting felons and rapists on television during football games. I don't give a fuck if it hurts their feeling for me to say this shit in a public space. Decorum goes out the window when you're forcing sports fans to sit and listen to a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and insurrectionist.

The NFL is getting pretty fucking gross. Just in the last few weeks they've put a felon rapist on the air, one of their ex-quarterbacks stabbed an old man, and a new player ran from the cops and then blew his brains out.

The fuck is going on with that organization?

[-] alekwithak@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

You can destroy my country, subjugate it's people, but don't you dare mess with my football!

[-] stringere@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

One could stop supporting an already problematic organization.

[-] Sculptor9157@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 weeks ago

I feel like the problems you listed with the NFL have always been there, you may have just glazed over them since it only involved the organization and players\coaches and not a president.

[-] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

If the Federal Government is shutdown all of the secret service agents should be sent home. I bet Mike Johnson would end the shutdown really quickly if he and trump couldn’t party while everyone else is struggling to feed their kids

[-] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh fuck off you narcissistic twat just FUCK OFF!

[-] oopsgodisdeadmybad@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago

Is there a word for that gesture that he keeps making with his fist there? I feel like he thinks it's a flex but just outs him as a dictator.

[-] JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago
[-] cheers_queers@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago

And he cant even do it right

[-] JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I don’t think he can raise his arm that high

[-] derry@midwest.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

He showed up on the broadcast and didn't seem to say anything too bad. Sounded like your ordinary senile grandfather or uncle. A bit confused but held it together.

[-] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 10 points 3 weeks ago

He's a piece of shit and the world will be a better place when he dies

[-] derry@midwest.social 7 points 3 weeks ago

Just my review of what I saw. However your assessment of him as a person is accurate and something I agree with. Was just mildly surprised he didn't say anything stupid.

[-] BotsRuinedEverything@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oooo I can't wait for that thing to happen. We will all be alive to witness it. It will be a day of celebration and healing.

[-] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

How much did the shit show cost US taxpayers?

[-] turdcollector69@lemmy.world -1 points 2 weeks ago

I really haven't heard booing in any of the clips. I hate trump but these Rorschach clips are so annoying because it's obvious that people just hear what they want to hear.
