I don't even know what else to add to this headline. This is so fucked up and tragic scary and infuriating and it will in no way slow the resistance.

The fact that a significant portion of his base want this is nothing short of a human tragedy.

War on drugs, war on terror. Terrible shit, loss of life, loss of civil liberties. Bipartisan.

Bombing other counties, disrupting the lives of citizens that are deemed "undesirable", all were in the table. Yet now, when the monster we live in targets the non "undesirables"... suddenly it becomes a tragedy.

This is what we have always been. Most were afforded the privilege of being able to ignore it.

God the fucking comments on that video saying she was trying to run him over and “she wasn’t obeying an LEO”.

  1. You can see the shooters feet not in front of the vehicle between the legs of the guy grabbing the door as she starts to turn. He was not about to be run over.

  2. The shooter had his gun drawn approaching the front of the car to be able to shoot her that fast. No one else had their gun out. Why? That fuckhead is trigger happy and ready to kill.

  3. How do we know she wasn’t trying to get out of the way and we can’t hear if she was saying anything like “let me move first”.

That's such a (US) American thing. "Someone coughed when the cop didn't order it? Deserves to be executed right then and there." I see it all the time in comments about killings like this and it never stops weirding me out.

Yeah, notice how fast the shooter checked to make sure his mask was up and ran from the scene, didn't go after the vehicle. He knew what he did and ran.

What's that phrase "if you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide" (granted I hate that statement, just the irony of who did the shooting, who did the running, and who they likely support....)

Hunt him down and hang him In front of city hall. Any Nazis in blue try to stop you, add them to the gallows.

These animals need to be put down, immediately.

[-] Subtracty@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Agreed wholeheartedly. Burn him at the fucking stake in the middle of town square.

This is what we were afraid of. And it happened.

It happened in Minnesota of all places.

Vive la révoution

It was a straight up murder by a trigger happy cop who was told they are immune to any prosecution by the president of the united states.

ICE is going to start murdering thousands of us and none of them will be held accountable. It's terrifying that ICE is a bunch of proud boys and fascists with a thirst for blood. We are all in trouble and all of us risk dying just going out to the store if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

[-] DandomRude@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

This is not tragic, it is outrageous. At least, it would be in any other country that considers itself a constitutional state. This is nothing less than murder on behalf of the state - there is no other way to put it.

I cannot understand how US citizens can still believe that they live in a constitutional state despite all this. Every day there are reports like this that undoubtedly refute this naive assumption.

But guys we can't use violence in our protests because then people will be violent at us they would use that as an excuse ok? That wouldn't shoot us in the head of we aren't being violent!

“On 10 October 1789, physician Joseph-Ignace Guillotin proposed to the National Assembly that capital punishment should always take the form of decapitation "by means of a simple mechanism".”

While all these ICE agents are out doing murders, who is making sure their houses don’t mysteriously burn down?
