Honestly social housing fell out of fashion it used to be way more common but NIMBYs made them impossible to build, hell even now could you imagine trying to build them with the conservative crowd?

Same vibes as when they were going on about "clean" coal.

Conflating the Conservatives and Liberals because of some ideological overlap isn't useful.

Let's lay it out plainly, we prevented the worst case scenario but it still moved us to the right. We need to advocate for left wing policies and do our best to keep our politician's honest. However we won't see results until we can apply direct pressure with votes, neglecting the adoption of a more progressive voting system was the true failure of the Trudeau government.

The unsettling part here is that Russia is the aggressor. If Russia stopped the war tomorrow there would be peace, if Ukraine stopped there wouldn't be a Ukraine.

So propaganda that glorifies Russia's role in war is unsettling.

*disclaimer this is on no way an endorsement of any war time propaganda, simply a philosophical observation.

Saying that something is bad is not an endorsement of something else.

TL;DR:

The bill, backed by two GOP reps (Rep. Warren Davidson of Ohio and Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama) proposes NIH investigation into "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS) and aims to study TDS's origins, media influence, and interventions.

The article compares it to Soviet-era tactics of labeling political dissent as a mental disorder.

I don't believe Republicans making that argument (or any other argument) in good faith though, I think it's just old fashioned "hate of the other" with the dog whistle of the week.

well, that's depressing, thanks for clearing it up.

Says the party that literally wanted to modify the grade school syllabus to teach that the 2020 US election was stolen.
