I can just picture the situation before he was due to speak. His advisors saying “Mr Trump, remember, he’s the president of Hungary. The country is Hungary”

Trump then thinks to himself, “Riiight, Hungary, it’s Hungary, Hungary. Mmm, I’m hungry, really hungry. You know what I could go right now? A Turkey sandwich. Mmm, Turkey….”

Goes on stage, “Viktor Orbán, what a great leader of Turkey”

It’s such a stupid premise it has to be true. The man is basically Homer Simpson at this point.

You shouldn't be insulting Homer Simpson like that

[-] Alien_Mortice@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago

You’re right, at least Homer shows empathy for other people.

Homer loves his wife and kids. The Orange Shitgibbon? Not so much.

So I’m trying to keep this straight…

Recently

Trump said Oban is the President of Turkey Trump said Republicans eat their babies. Trump said he beat Obama in 2016 Trump said he saved us from WW2 breaking out?

No wonder he is Donald Ducking the Republican debates. If he ever had it he is losing it quickly.

[-] Diplomjodler@feddit.de 8 points 1 year ago

And yet people keep voting for him.

“Remember, Republicans eat their young. They really do. Terrible statement but it’s true.” ~Donald Trump

The best bit is that it’s a recorded statement. His media handelers left it in.

Simply amazing. There truly is always a X-Crete.

Tyty!

In 2016 he was telling the lie so much that his inauguration had more attendees than Obama's that his mind believes he beat Obama, but can't remember the details anymore.

[-] kandoh@reddthat.com 14 points 1 year ago

If Biden did this they'd never shut up about it.

[-] ProfessorProteus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

If Biden so much as sneezes they'll scream that he's committing bio-terrorism.

My elderly parents, when they talk about geopolitical conspiracy theories, always confuse Erdoğan and Orbán.

[-] ashar@infosec.pub 5 points 1 year ago

Trump could be right, you know.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Accidents happen

[-] andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Honestly, there's a nugget of truth. Orban not being a president is the best presidential effort he can provide.

[-] huf@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago
