Please see this screenshot:

As you can see, the floating button is partially hidden. Scrolling does not fix the issue. Nor restarting the app.

EDIT: just found out that the issue only happens when viewing posts. If I open a post, the floating button is fully shown. That is, when viewing comments, the button is shown correctly.

Are the navigation buttons "always on" or do they sometimes auto hide?

That floating button is set to auto hide.

Edit: I actually don't know what you mean by this. I have "show floating button" enabled. It hides when down scrolling and is shown when up scrolling. But that is hard coded I think. I couldn't find an option for that.

A screenshot of a Pixel showing the navigation options

The 3 symbols at the very bottom of the screen are the navigation buttons. I actually keep mine turned off entirely and do gesture navigation.

You have yours on, I'm asking if they auto-hide or if they're always there.

Ah.. They are always there!

Darn. I was hoping this could be explained by a mismeasurement of the screen dimensions. I tried fiddling around with NAV buttons on and couldn't reproduce it, but I'm also on Android 16. :(
