Any time I get to a forced survey I just hit other and answer with “No.”
I go for the trusty, "Go fuck yourself"
The other option generally has a text box associated with it, so I generally paste the lyrics of the song stuck to my head at that moment.
Does it do the same if you download Firefox?
No, they know why people use Firefox.
It speaks of Chrome's dominance that they don't even bother to swat this fly.
The article is over sensationalised. Asking users why they're moving to another product or uninstalling a software is very common and has been happening for decades. As long as they don't stop you unless you respond there's nothing harmful here - and they aren't stopping or even delaying you in this case - it's a poll that shows on after you've started downloading.
I use ninite to install Chrome. Faster and less whinging from MS.
Yeah. The only site I ever use edge for is ninite.com. It's like a one stop shop for all the basic needs on a new system.
Microsoft got on my hate list in the 90s and up till steve balmer left. Even through they are much more sane nowadays I still don’t trust them.
