...I suppose we'll be seeing a lot of headlines like this in the next few years. The UK is going to do every dumb, self-destructive thing the USA has been doing lately, isn't it?

Every time someone in Europe tries to start some shit about how dumb Americans are for allowing our democracy to crumble, I like to gently remind them that we're all being held hostage by the same people. This isn't a local problem, this is what happens when you give corporations everything they want to control your society.

It's a very depressing worldwide scale-back of all science and development.

I mean, worldwide except for China. China is going to have the whole solar system in a generation.

Ofc this bro thinks his job is "fundamental". Give me a break. It's about time to cut back on the grift. I mean "string theory" alone has been a waste of endless resources. Fucking CERN. Not to mention the endless, ceaseless service to the MIC. They'll surely be prioritizing violence and death still (aka "national security"). People mindlessly support all this because "science" (aka scientism).

Whitey on the Moon

On the other hand spending money on "economic growth" is surely a waste as well. Just accelerating inequality and planetary doom.
