For the bootloops ... maybe try with only one (or the other) RAM stick. Then without external mobo.

Wait, what do you mean by bootloops exactly?
Can you boot OS from a USB drive & test the system (maybe RAM with MemTest86)?

Thanks I will see what I can find. Unfortunataly no cables but bios was updated "a few years back" says the issue comes and goes over a monthts time or more. But yea there are two drives. I was guessing under the plate as well, will start there. I assumed bios also but what you gonna do. She can update bios herself later. Might as well change it here where i have tools and time.

It's an M.2 or NVME drive (basically same thing). It looks like it's under that white rectangle in the bottom left of your image (it's a little fuzzy so hard to say for sure). They have a heatsink on top of them held down with a screw. You just undo that screw and it can pop right out. The heatsink can peel off and be attached to the new M.2/Nvme.

With that said, my experience with bootloops is usually more of an issue with the BIOS. I would try updating that or reflashing it if it was recently updated.

You don't seem to have anything plugged onto SATA, which means the Kingston is your only drive (feel free to correct me wrong, but from that angle it doesn't show another connection).

If the case has a seperate storage rack, check there to see if there's another storage unit, like a samsung ssd. If not, it likely uses the Kingston M2 SSD as its only storage.

Maybe boot a live OS like GParted from USB and do smart tests to see if the SSD is faulty.

Cat 6 or 6a? Any specific brand or something? Will be a big project so cost is not a factor just something that really good and last. Exposed to weather and partially underground
