FreeCAD is pretty much the only free option out there for a Linux user if you need to do anything more advanced than what tinkercad offers.
So grateful its receiving so many improvements. It used to be riddled with bugs and crashes few years ago

They received a large gift and a new developer. 1.1 is very close to Autodesk products, even does FEA, but new updates will happen faster. I've never been comfortable with Autodesk demanding my designs sit on their servers, and that software has become a tax on industry.
