It's made of cherry because that's what I have a lot of now.
The shape is based on an Atkins Perfection template I have, but I had to cut it up and move things around to account for the unusual hole pattern.
It looks really lovely! I have a feeling you're going to get a little joy from that every time you use it!
Well, I'll still be ripping by hand, which is a bit of a chore - but yeah, this brings a little sparkle.

I use a table saw and seldom do I start that machine without wondering in the back of my mind if these are my last moments with ten fingers.
