All worth it to own the libs and end wokeness if you ask their base.

I think it's even worse than that. I've talked to people who voted Ford after the initial takedown of Kathleen. They tend to say something like "I don't like him, but there's no one else to vote for." And it's not about woke with them. Rather something like "I looked and Bonnie Crombie / Marit Stiles and they don't look like leader material." So they're actively getting fucked, recognize it to an extent, but can't bring themselves to flip the switch. Incredible stuff. You could make the argument a person like that simply isn't getting fucked enough to feel it, and that's probably true. Still kinda wild.

A lot of my conservative friends have similar talking points "i don't like ford but..." it usually boils down to racism and feeling superior.

What i don't get is several of these supporters rely heavily on healthcare, mental healthcare, OSAP, & disability pay, all things most conservative MPs fight to defund.

A lot of them literally would rather suffer under ford so long as they can fool themselves they are in the "in group" and not the "out group". Its brown people taking advantage of the services that are the mooches, not me! Its the immigrants fault i don't have a job etc etc

"Tax relief" is one of the greatest lies ever made by politicians of any stripe. If they do manage to reduce taxes, they compensate by cutting some useful service rather than, say, their own salaries.
