Tf? Doesnt their infrastructure rely on Tor? I mean people who have Tor nodes should receive Money, sure but isnt it more or less "free"?

The article mentioned its a developer staffing thing. Transmission of messages is "free" but somebody has to develop code and counter exploits with patches. And run a server that helps clients find each other—i presume.
