We're just a resource to them, like oil, or forests, or water. An input to get a desired output. People and material goes in one side, product comes out the other side. What happens in the black box, stays in the black box, they don't understand it, or care to.

You're either filthy rich, or you're in the black box.

I mean, their religion tells us that we should think about ourselves as sheep, so they're not really hiding how they feel about us. Baaaaa

I have been out of work for almost 2 years trying to not be homeless with my wife. if we had kids at the time was usual they would be trying to get through college. not having kids was the smartest thing we ever did.

I wonder if this will finally be the point where Americans decide that their military has enough money?

Probably not.

Oh yeah. Lemme just go and take it back from them. I’m sure that will go down fuckin swimmingly.

How... How do you think it works in other democracies when they cut military funding? Because that's a thing that happens. A lot.

Did I miss the part where Canada had a civil war every time our government cut funding to the CAF? I'm pretty sure that's something I would have noticed.

Its a budget proposal that needs to make it through congressional approval. And as usual the centrist dems are either asleep at the wheel, or paid to be complicit. I havent seen any pushback on this at all-- or the massive cuts to social programs, nasa, schools-- pretty much everything. They arent even pretending to push back.

Dems tax and give money to social programs, while trying to lower the deficit. Republicans don't raise taxes or even lower them and give money to military while increasing the national debt. Both parties are deeply involved with billionaires, corporations, and Israel.

Republicans don’t raise taxes or even lower them

No, Republicans raise taxes on the working class while gaslighting us that it's a tax break.

Dems make the cheddar and pay the taxes the republicans are just a bunch of taker states that don't pay their fair share. We need to get rid of the senate so the minority places with failed economies don't have such an outsized say on how things are run.
