I heard somewhere mysterytool.exe solves everything so get to it and obviously if it does not its because you are not a good enough technical guy.

sounds good for me. tax cars for all costs of roads and disposal and tax gas for all pollution caused by gas and disposal (lets treat disposal as all extrenalities).

Yeah that is my main point ultimately. We should have universal healthcare because everyone take care of themselves does not work out great.

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

Which again is why we should have universal healthcare so its fair if society restricts these things.

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

Which is why we should have a public healthcare system which then it makes sense to have the limits but with a system of its all on you well maybe you get by with opium because the cure is to expensive. I mean how much addiction back then was folks dealing with constant pain from how shitty society was back then?

I very often with things will comment about significant parts of an article partially for folks that just read comments but I have to say with this one I can't really choose. It talks about difficulties with older setups and improvements they made such that the second half has the most relevant things but the whole read is very good if a bit frustrating as its hard to say where the tech will go.

I keep saying this but without a public healthcare system open to all then prescriptions should be done away with and all drugs should be available. If folks have to do their own healthcare they should be unfettered.

Just saw a tv segment about each child costing 20k+ a year and im like. Yeah maybe this is why people don't have kids.

Its funny that all this time they never thought just going full blown would fly. The way they would hide the things they do and they never needed to.

At what age would you say it would become unsustainable. Mainly thinking failing health.

I can't hear the word humble without thinking about the wierd al amish paradise song.

Im not sure if our lower level brains are responsible for this.

It the year was the first time trump got elected. The permafrost was melting and we went in the wrong direction. Its not so much if now as when.

ee that is the thing with discovery. they went into the past and added new technology which then made the ackward part of everyone being classified and would never speak about it again. That would not really have been necessary if it had been placed after the other series. The only problematic point might have been holograms which seemed to be the only tech they did not have compared to the latest shows really.

I feel like this is a motherly take on the leopards ate my face.

Never thought about it this way. I have a science degree so that has to at least make me on the level of typical clergy.

Strangely when I look at bazzite for my laptop it asks about my graphics drivers but it seems to list desktop drivers. So my laptop has a 940mx. Can I use the bazzite for gtx 9xx given its the desktop driver for the same time period?

Apparently im a goody good. (www.smbc-comics.com)

I actually use my toothbrush handle to flaten from the far side forward after the tube is used for a bit.

I feel this. Gardening can be incredible and very disappointing at times. It gives you a good indication of what it would take to feed yourself from the earth and that is scary. I actually was not wild about tubers since you can't see them so it is hard to tell if they are ready and the you can't see bugs on them and stuff. I love beans and gourds as they did very well for me. Also lettuce. String beans and lettuce sorta keep producing and you can grab things as you care for some. Tried to do a three sisters but corn is hard. I feel I would either have to break down and use fertilizer or grow beans for a few years to prep the soil.

37

As much as I love the miracles of the age I find many are not all that useful and the tradeoffs get worse and worse.

48

I think a lot of us can use more gifts of weed, booze, and blue peter.

39

I hate how there is so much technology I dreamed of as a child that is so dystopic. The tinfoil hat folks of my youth warned about secret government listening devices hidden away in all electronics but it turns out the listening devices are overt and corporate and require a monthly fee.

35

My main problem is I live in a highrise so I cannot plugin but you know I was thinking about gas cans and sorta wondering if someone makes a hoofable battery setup that would be equivalent. Im wondering if just those ones for camping might work. So figure a five gallon gas can will get you 100 miles. I feel a battery that could handle that distance would be huge though. Thing is you could charge it overnight in the unit and then bring it down in the morning. Not sure how long it would take to do the battery to battery though. Would sorta solve that if it was a affordable enough add on you had to get.
