I like multi unit buildings like this but I sorta wish they required them to have flat accessible roof gardens, or at least any new ones that are made.

I guess I sorta lump all the reincarnated and such all together and since ancestry has a fair effect on abilities I figured I would do it. I totally might be using the phrase wrong.

personally I use keepass for important things and don't sue extension or anything that would pull from it and I use bitwarden for unimportant passwords. not that bitwarden is necessarilly unsafe but im a person who ultimately thinks its best I completely control the important things.

Yes its that age all opinion questions. So the rules are you can use anything from the latest stuff but only class and race. no archetypes or legendary artifacts or such. Surprisingly my answer is the same despite all the updates. elf - druid. Elf because your generally good looking and you live long and you are still pretty common and don't have to worry to much about some sort of outcast type of position. Then druid because the primal list is so useful and broad. You got healing and combat and a decent amount of buff/debuff. It mainly loses on telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation along with undead and illusions. Then leaf druids start with a familiar which is way useful and goodberry which is a great focus spell giving both tons of healing and sustenance usefulness supplementing something the primal group gives you plenty of so it just becomes not a concern now. Then pick up wildshape and that is just tons of utility. Top it off that if you can get far enough in your class that you can stop aging.

KT-TOT is close. I actually do have a smartphone that I only use for work stuff since companies now usually do bring your own device with phones. it only has work stuff and I keep it off mostly unless im working in an on call position and am on call. I use voip on it with textnow as a backup. Otherwise I use my laptop with voip. Having any type of phone all the time that someone can text or call you at any time leaves you with the issue the OP has. Have to turn it off and actually be unreachable at times. Considering how often im on my laptop im still reachable pretty darn often. I also have a brother who lets me and my other brother know if extended family stuff shows up on facebook. Like weddings and funerals and such. I do try and check facebook once a week as my condo has a group and the aforementioned family stuff but like funerals are tricky as they can happen in less than a week of death with my family.

I don't get why they use the term reading for listening to an audiobook which the comment confirms is an adiobook sorta.

When you don't have a smartphone this is not much of an issue.

aibots battle to destroy the evil forces of..... the cryptocons. This reminds me of a conversation I had with someone in the mid aughts. It was about how amazing it is that I can say something referencing media and so many people would know what im talking about. The common experiences it gave to americans and many others at the time. He did not think it was that neat but looking at things now I think that period of the three major networks is something we may never see again.

My experience with dev ops folks was quite different. The more heavier a coder actually was seemed to correspond to higher levels of distain for ai. I felt it was useful but for many things you can get with a variety of addons to an ide. Auto commenting and suggesting fills and such. Its like similar to how to me the chatbots are just another level of abstraction in searching. looking at gopher to yahoo to google to this. Now manager types were so gung ho and believe the ai will be able to do the work as opposed to providing an assitant for a person. They think a less skilled person will be able to function as more skilled and to some degree that is true but its a thin vaneer. In actuality it takes more skill and discipline to me to asses and modify what it outputs.

Awhile back this virtual avatar thing was popular. Maybe grok is a musk one.

Nice one. All of us choose everyday wether to make life better or worse and those who make it worse I don't think appreciate how reliant they are on the world mostly being made better by the majority of people that allows for their choices.

You know looking at her comments it might have still be spurred by something like that. She just sorta explained what her characters last comment was (its hard to describe this comic because the scenarios are often things that just happened in their life but its a comic of it so even as I use the word character it feels wierd)

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 5 points 5 days ago

Which is sorta funny because wasn't one of the arguments for that system safety.

This one is a bit tough as she explains it in the notes. Dealing with things you can control to try to feel better about things you can't control (whats happening in the US).

23

I can't even remember when I might obsess over things I said. I might have when young but I just expect folks to not take casual conversation all that intensly in my old age. I mean hey man, you are generally nice and if that is not enough then oh well.

29

The notes mention a root beer alcohol that they drank with whip cream and I really want to know what that is.

25

So the comments make it more clear it was about the vastness of it. This still confuses me a bit as I thought she lived on the east coast most of her life but maybe far in enough they did not visit the ocean much.

17

Have not seen extended family in awhile. I honestly did not realize anyplace did not have helmet laws. I personally don't like laws like that. I do like requirements for the industry. Like seat belts and air bags but not requiring their use.

34

This would likely still be a comic if he had asked if he could use that one but at least that would show a bit more prudence.

23

Thought this was some sort of thing about our political times and was a bit confused trying to read into it but then noticed she was in the comic and the comments seem to indicate this was something that happened.

Hey I don't normally post the saturdays. Its followed this same format. They do the sat/sun in a way were they can have a weekend. I assume anyway. The text is always something from society and unsurprisingly is a lot of political peoples statements lately. Anyway since they post exact quotes and I often miss those in the news articles even though I know about it the exact words that come out of this administration just blows me away. Its hard to explain but despite knowing trump and his kind and despite having heard the words from their mouths. Still seeing and hearing these things. Anyway decided to share a saturday one even though I normally do not.

Being an old man this really gets me. I love the internet and the way computers today but there is a whole lot that worked fine before plastics were so common. Almost nothing in the grocery store had plastic and everything was pretty much as convenient as nowadays. Sure you had to pay a deposit on the glass bottles but you got it back when you returned them.
