In my CAD class, the instructor requires explicitly AutoCAD because "that's the industry standard." As we know, AutoDork are a bunch pricks who refuses to get up from Microslop's lap, so I am in a tight spot rn.

Should I use a VM to run or would ACAD Web do the trick? Honestly, I can even try to push my luck with another CAD program that supports .dwg files.

my roommate uses lutris to start autocad which surprisingly works for him

I couldn't get Lutris to run .exe files for some reasons. Is there any "Lutris for Dummies" sort of guide?

rtfm ;)

you can use lutris to install a "game" from a .exe file with a button to the top right. install autocad via lutris and try from there

It didn't work unfortunately. I'll stick to VMs.
