Before I probably let it die down, I would like to say that I love the fact that I probably live rent free in the heads of the tankies and am probably almost as hated as PugJesus by them. It's amazing how much energy you can put into this stuff, but since the weekend is over and I have a job and life, I wont be able to engage in trivial slapfights until after Mayday (cuz I actually touch grass, go to the massive labor rally on May 1, am active in an union and am probably gonna party (not the party MLs think, I mean an actual celebration and not a politically elitist club) with some friends [union members, anarchists and demsocs, two of which are other eurocoms. Hey I could say hi to a feddit admin in person for Diva ;) ])

i don't 'defend' governments, at most i'll have critical support for enemies of the hegemonic bourgeois dictatorships of the world. I don't care for people like putin, the most common sentiment i've seen on hexbear is that he's someone lenin would have shot. put me in a room with trump and putin with a loaded gun and i'd be happy to take that on.

liberals love to browbeat about 'lesser evil' when it comes to voting for one of two genocidal warmongers. if it's between authoritarian bourgious dictatorships and 'authoritarian' proletarian dictatorships it's pretty clear which side's the lesser evil. i've found way more common cause with so-called 'tankies' than with say, zionist liberals/'social democrats' when it comes to opposing war and empire.

Issue is that a lot of the admins were on board with it and just months later they did a big campaign to get feddit.org defederated by calling it a Zionist instance even though the people from db0 who got banned legitimately said hateful and antisemitic shit.

Here is emopunker openly admitting they platform zionists and that they will ban pro-palestine voices to "comply with the law" but honestly, I don't believe they are removing pro-palestinian content just because of the law, and against their will, it's just a convenient excuse. They are not reluctant about it at all.

Like I know it is hard to believe, but there are transpeople who actually defend regressive regimes. When Caitlyn Jenner and Blaire White exist, then it is entirely possible that misguided transwomen would defend regressives like Putin, Xi or the Kim Dynasty.

Also it is hilarious how they are trying to appeal to me being non-binary and anti-transphobia by labelling the rest of Mwog as transphobic when probably a large portion here are trans or non-binary.

And they still keep making excuses for nutomic like "English isnt nutomic's first language, so nutomic cant be a transphobe".

Mbin allows seeing upvotes as a normal user from my experience, but apparently not downvotes.

Example from the thread Tante mentioned in the opening post (using kbin.earth because votes didn't propagate to the/brain/bin), and poking @Kairos@lemmy.today for that too:

Also iirc Friendica has public downvotes, but the instance I have an account on (friendica.world) isn't pulling the post or community when searching, so maybe DB0 is defederated there?
