With everything running, you’ll be able to launch arbitrary programs and have the windows placed within the Minecraft world as if they were in-game. Users can place the windows in any orientation and can interact with them like any other desktop environment. [EVVIE] has released all of the code under the GPL for anyone wanting to try it out or build on the project itself.

Oh, that's not what I was expecting 😄

Stop forcing Wayland into everything! Wayland just isn't ready for this yet. My workflow requires five hopperclocks with different timings hooked up to an RS-snorlatch and inverse T-flip-flop. Wayland just doesn't support that, and there are no signs that it ever will. I'll stick with vanilla redstone, thank you very much.

Stop your nonsense, this kind of things are important for making wayland go forward.. even if its only for the sake of a dev fun, but he probably found issues, reported them, made some comments on github with issues that he had that will make someone fix it later, ect... wayland its still unusable for you and you want a stable system? Please keep using X, its reliable. But also has alot of issues that only a new fresh implementation can solve

"But Minecraft already works on Wayl... oh..."

Holy fuck thanks for sharing, I always wanted to use my terminal on Linux just to show my friends how I can type "ls -l" and look like a hacker!

yawn

Call me when it's implemented in redstone.

Never? You'd need a huge CPU to get that running.

As the target audience of people who have a feeling they may be missing out on something they either need or want, but just don't get it. Sell me!!!!

Well off the top of my head it looks like a neat solution to have like a guide for something you want to do in world right there with you sort of like how books in the base game function lol

What's the point? I can't come up with a possible use for this. Games need to be controlled sandboxes.

Don't you want to do GIMP editing in Minecraft?
