Chemical sunscreens can be. Mineral types that use zinc oxide or titanium oxide should be pretty okay to use.

I spent some time looking into this
As far as I can tell, the coconut husk thing is BS, cause it is well known and has been for some time that fungi can at least partially degrade some plastics

I was to lazy to see if the method used, an agar plate plaque assay, actually measues plastic degredation
