I've had two; one for an infected root and another to fix the massive fuckup where my dentist drilled way too far and hit the nerve. Personally I feel that they were lifesavers, but I definitely understand why others would feel different
YIKERS. =(
Yea I've just been in discomfort the whole week after. Probably due to infection, though - more than the procedure.
I’ve had six root canals. Five were painless except for the Novocain shot. The sixth still gives me nightmares, but the endodontist assured me that molar’s nerve was unusual.
I grievously wounded a finger in the wood shop and needed a bunch of stitches. My nerves were 'unusual' there -- super preemie kid too? I remember a fraction of your pain and sorry for that experience.
The root canal paled in comparison to my periodic kidney stones. Find an endodontist who’ll put you to sleep for the procedure. If I need another, that’s what I’ll do.
Was it your lower back most molar? If so they lied. They're fully aware that tooth has problems.
Mine didn't numb. It could'nt. They proceeded. I felt everything.
They told me that happens sometimes.
That’s hilarious. Yes it was. My mistake was mentioning my #atheism. The torture master turned out to be #Mormon. I was old enough to know better at the time. Now I’m old enough to simply have these monkey-shit brown bone shards extracted. Absolutely exquisite pain.
Oh god.... a) SIX?! and b) what happened????
No fluoride where I failed to grow up in south Alabama. Anyone graduating sixth grade with all their teeth was called an elitist. Toothbrushes were unknown. If you’re familiar with Tommy Tuberville, you should know he’s a victim of a tobacco spit-swallowing mother, a widespread problem in those parts. Denture swapping was common during meals. Basically shitty luck. I escaped with bad teeth and a crappy disposition. I’m lucky.
It's crazy to hear stories like that coming out of the USA. I never know how poor this country can honestly be until I hear stories like that. =( So sorry you grew up through that. I grew up with poor idiot parents as well.
That which builds character sometimes dissolves teeth. Many are worse off; that’s the scary part.
You should write spoken word lyrics.
When I was about 8 or 9, I ran face first into a dumpster and chipped my two front teeth. I had to have a couple of root canals as a result. One of them developed an abscess 5 years later and caused my face to swell up like a balloon. I was hospitalized for a week and had to have two surgeries to fix it.
Dude... I think I have a mild abscess right now. I didn't realize you can get them five years later?!
If you think you may have an abscess you should definitely get that checked out. sometimes they'll clear up on their own, but other times they go bad and can have complications. I was told when I had mine that it could have killed me, but mine was not minor, it was quite bad.
I'm on antibiotics at the moment. After four days I think they're finally helping. I've been so uncomfortable =(
i dropped a drill on my toe, fell bit side down. punctured and broke it at the same time. dont know if this helps or hurts you root canal - best wishes for a speedy recovery ❤️
No. This makes me sad for you. Just happen recently? I hope you are recovering. =(
