I've tried using the link option when posting comments and the links never come out right. If i try making the display text different than the link, it seems to be unusable Ex:

Wikipedia

If I make the display text the same as the link, then it is clickable, but not highlighted and underlined Ex:

Boost adds an exclamation mark to the start of links. That's only if you're linking to an image. If it's to a webpage you remove the !

This is default. Doesn't work because Lemmy thinks this should be an image.

Edit: you also need the 'https://' bit too apparently

There is already a separate button to post an image though. Make the link button just for website links

Saw another comment that it might be the "!" that the link option placed before the text in brackets. So trying that here
