I'll admit. I clicked on this thinking it was because of doctors leaving due to strict anti-abortion laws. But nope! Just regular ol' medical-industrial complex greed!
Same, the actual situation is equally enraging yet in a totally different way

So blue cross cut reimbursement to the bone, and Tenncare Medicaid reimbursement is too low to sustain the cost of services. This story is going to get repeated a lot across the US, IMO.
Don't want to carry your pregnancy to term? Fuck you, do it anyways. Need medical care going through that pregnancy you were forced to continue? Fuck you, no maternity care for you.

Horrifying. This is going to create the long term medical harms and maternal / infant fatalities that we see in India routinely but rarely seen in the UK.
If only there was a way to cut out the grifting insurance companies from the health care equation.
Maybe if there was some option in the public sector? No, too socialist.

7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
