I use it to collect sand and little stones in my device.
But also to have a backup if my bluetooth in-ears get low on battery or i need to plug the phone to my old school amplifier.

I had to buy a converter to stick my headphones into to connect to my phone because it didn't have the jack. Which is really annoying because I have really nice headphones and I don't want to sacrifice my sound quality for shitty Bluetooth ones.

When I get a call at home while already wearing my wired headset I like to just plug it into the phone.

Since my current phone was bought used I had to compromise on some things, so I don't have a headphone jack anymore. I use a USB-C Adapter now. I use it for most phone calls, especially the longer ones with family. So probably for a few hours per month.

For quite a long time, until about 2021, I was still using wired headphones when on the go, but nowadays I'm addicted to noise cancelling, so that use case has moved to Bluetooth now. My protective headsets from work (both the over-ear and the in-ear set) also use Bluetooth.

I use Bluetooth headphones every day, for most of the day. Despite that, there are times where i forget to charge them the night before, or something else goes wrong, and I use wired headphones.

If I got a phone without a headphone jack, I don't think it'd be much of a problem, until it is. I'd need it, and suddenly realized I don't have it.

I'm a bit clumsy (ADHD) and having a cable attached to my body attached to a €1000 device is asking for trouble. I hate the cable getting tangled up, caught on things etc.

I’ve been using bluetooth earbuds for several years now. You can walk around freely when connected to your PC, the wires don’t get tangled and noise canceling is great. But one upside of wired earbuds is that you’re not exposed to bluetooth zero days such as the one that recently came to light.

I use it all the time. And I would argue that the question should be "what's the intelligence distribution of people using cabled data links over those preferring wireless?" :p

Would be using it pretty much every day, my car doesn't have bluetooth so I need to rely on a casette to aux converter that I stick in the tape slot. Then I end up needing to plug my (jackless) phone into a lightning to aux dongle, plug that into the aux for the cassette converter, and then finally swap to the tape deck. Super annoying and would be slightly less-so with a jack.

I use it sometimes, but used it regularly for music until I busted out an old iPod.

I've been using my wire headphones for over 10 years until recently. I've moved to Shockz, it's more convenient but the sound lacks bass.

At least once a week. Will be a shame when I eventually move onto a phone without a jack.

If I still had one I would use it every day. I now use Bluetooth bone conducting headphones so I can hear other things while I listen to The Majority Report while I work.

They're both usb-c.

This isn't a wired/wireless issue. You can not have a 3.5mm audio jack on your phone and still use wired headphones without an adapter because usb-c headphones exist.

You can talk about quality differences and such, but that isn't the same as wired vs wireless being the only two options.

Routinely with IEMs or over ear headphones as my Sony has a good DAC. If I am having a serious music listening session, I'll use a USB C dongle DAC amp.

I used it every day, when I had it. I would still use it every day if I had it. Sadly I don't have it anymore.

My wife does daily to plug into our car. When she recently got a phone without a jack, I bought her a dongle for charging and audio.

Does she use wired audio daily? Yes. Does her phone have a headphone jack? Well, no.

I had to buy an adapter. I much prefer wired earphones, as somebody else commented, it's much easier to switch wired ones between devices. With wireless you also have the issue of disconnecting them if you want audio through the phone speaker. I hate Bluetooth anyway.

I also prefer the earphones which sit just in the ear, rather than the current style of ones that need to be forced inside. I don't think you can get wireless earphones like that, probably because they would be lost easily. I like proper headphones too (so that's an option for wireless), but they are quite bulky so not always convenient.

I have a headphone jack and have never used it

Until I got a phone without one, I used it all the time. But now I have fully switched to Bluetooth. The price pot me off a lot, but my tozo A3s are are both cheap enough and good enough that I am happy to have made the switch.

I refused to get a phone without one for quite a long while and finally caved. I haven't used wired headphones in years but I hate that there isn't the option anymore as a default.

The only thing I miss it for is plugging into the car. I've got Bluetooth adapters now though that work pretty well. In theory I might run into a situation where it would be nice to be able to plug into a speaker or someone else's car or something, but BT is so common it doesn't really come up.
