Ace! I'm North of London but go there every so often. The Istanbul public transport system is really good - but maybe I just liked the variety, with the metro, old and modern trams and riverboats!

I think this is it but I don't seem to have any better photos:

A tram in Istanbul which went down a very busy street...

(This is a different tram but on the same route)

I've watched the first one - it's alright! I thought it might be US-centric but David Braben is in it.

I'm not sure if they have a universal app, it's definitely available on Roku devices.

I stumbled upon this series on the Roku Channel. Thought I'd post it here in case anybody was interested!

There are a lot of people I follow who moved to Mastodon, that now appear to have moved to Bluesky (I'm seeing posts on there from people I know used to post on Mastodon).

I'm not sure why. If I move over it'll be because everybody else is there. At the moment I'm not using it much.

You'd think they would have "boss' birthday" in their diaries, highlighted and with triple underlines.

Senior school, of course!

Keir Starmer’s entire senior team forgot to wish him a happy birthday at their morning meeting in Downing Street, his spokesperson has admitted.

A half-finished paint job on a Kent road has been described as a perfect example of “not my job, mate” culture.

Gas company SGN has been carrying out works in Dover Road and New Street in Sandwich throughout the summer.

The network upgrades are now finally complete - but that is more than can be said for the repainting of a 20mph marking near the Malcolm Waite petrol station.

SGN workers have only put a fresh coat of white on the sections of the road they had to dig up, leaving glaring gaps.

A spokesman for the gas company says it is “responsible for reinstating the areas we’ve disturbed”.

The collection comes from a mysterious (and fictional) 80s video game company and includes puzzles and platformers, RPGs and category-defying hybrids, all in 8-bit splendour

2024 is invisible, the current trend being that you aren't allowed to see anything you can scroll until you hover over it.

Has she missed all the rioting in England by far-right activists?

How is that better than a banner being slowly revealed?

Reminds me of the guy who bought the last ever Big Mac in Iceland, and put it on display and it didn't go mouldy.

Don't know how true that is but it's a good story!

The system seems to be;

  • Add adverts
  • Make them more intrusive
  • Add more adverts
  • Make them even more intrusive
  • Everybody is fed up with adverts because there are now more adverts than content, so introduce paid version which costs more than the company would earn on ad impressions even for a heavy user, to remove ads
  • Next step might be to add some ads to paid version?
