That’s a male flower. On female flowers you will see a small zucchini attached to the flower.

Yes but it’s common for the first few to be male, then you will get a mix of male and female. Plant looks great I think you’re going to get great zucchinis. Just keep them away from me I don’t like zucchini 😆

I agree that a few males bloom first. Not the I don’t like them part 🙂

Sometime they can bloom with a little offset on the same plant.

That's why it's good to have a few plants to create interactions between them.

Female flowers can also be fertilised by hand.

Hey, did you have zucchini grow in the meantime? For me it looked like it but then they are still tiny and stopped growing. Not sure what I am doing wrong

Yes indeed. One zucchini that is about 20cm long and 4cm in diameter. Sorry to hear. My cucumber plant had one really good fruit but after that nothing.
