Some really fascinating statistics on my Monero mining adventures via p2pool, as I've been mining on spare compute around the house since the day p2pool launched:

➡️ I've gotten ~5,800 payouts

💰 I've earned ~3.3 XMR

💲 Earning ~$650 total

🧱 First payout was around block ~2,442,000

🫰 I've spent ~0.04 XMR consolidating p2pool payouts

All of this in a 100% decentralized, pool-less setup where there is no central pool operator and no custodian.

Honestly it's about the most badass thing in mining out there, and I'd love to see it come back to Bitcoin and gain broad adoption instead of solo mining for home miners.

Want to get started yourself? The best way today is spinning up a fantastic desktop mining tool, Gupax, and playing around with it!
