Former paramedic here who spent a bunch of time around nursing schools in my youth. This completely destroys the don't stick your dick in crazy theory. Nursing students have a much higher rate of crazy than other professions. Just sayin.

Lol no. Not even from the CS folks I’ve slept with. I can see it helping with male engineers, as my sister is an engineer dating a male engineer and my brother in law is an engineer engaged to an engineer. But as a lesbian, no, it doesn’t help.
The thing is engineers have a reputation and it isn’t wrong. I do my best to counter it in myself but yeah if I wasn’t one I’d probably count it as a yellow flag in a potential partner.
And for context I’m happily married, in another long term relationship, and have done quite well for myself casually. And my wife does appreciate aspects of my career and what drove me to it, such as the pay and the fact that I’m good at fixing and making things. But she’s a programmer and still probably wouldn’t jump at the next attractive engineer she meets.
What about an engineer graduate?
