I would like tor/i2p only sites.

Ah gotcha, not sure what to recommend offhand.

Think(?) there are 1-2 torrent indexes within I2P, been years since I looked at those & they weren't all that interesting IMO. You could probably find them if you look around at I2P listings.

Thx for the info dude

Please don't torrent over tor. I2p was designed with p2p and torrenting in mind but the topology and routing scheme used in Tor makes p2p file sharing painfully slow and drags down the performance of the whole network.

I'm thinking about an onion site for link torrents and magnets not about torrenting over Tor.

There's The Pirate Bay, Zlib and a few i2p trackers. Probably a couple more. I don't know any other.

Someone should make an onion torrent/magnet sharing site.

The problem is that, it'll be full of disgusting things soon enough. We'll need very strict moderation tools for that to work properly. For now, magnet links work just fine.

With that though, while it'd be super cool, most people would want to torrent also from tor/i2p and it'd be crippling to the network.

Looks like i2p torrenting is starting to become a thing. qBittorrent 4.6.0 is supposed to have native support for it.

Sounds promising for a deep web torrent site in the future.

[-] AES@lemmy.ronsmans.eu 3 points 1 year ago

Than we keep the site in the dark but the trackers on the clearnet. I was under the impression that it is a lot harder to take down trackers then a torrent index website is.

[-] MrComradeTaco@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Keep the trackers on the clearnet but people should take care of use a VPN/Proxy for safety, and no CP sharing allowed.

[-] zekiz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

There is one for i2p

My app is stupid so I could only edit the post.

[-] Yasuke@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I see this being a abused. EDIT: you just asking for shit like child porn and all other crazy stuff to end up on there. You won’t be able to check every single torrent posted and even if you did how will you stop them with no I.P.

[-] MrComradeTaco@lemmy.fmhy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Your comment doesn't make sense to me.

[-] MrComradeTaco@lemmy.fmhy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

If they wanna get busted I don't give a flying fuck anyway.

[-] Yasuke@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Ah it’s fixed now. I can respond. Not sure if you caught me edit
