I am long enough in the space to remember this early Bitcoin meme:
For good or for worse Bitcoin so far has fallen back in its adoption as a everyday medium of exchange. Much more places accepted Bitcoin directly from 2012 to 2016 and if not in absolute terms than clearly in comparison with the number of speculators.
One grew by x2 while the other grew by x100.
Back then the problem for merchants was that not enough people had cryptos in their wallets. Today we have plenty of people having cryptos in their wallets but nowhere to spend them.
If the tiny Bitcoin community back then could achieve to be adopted by bars, restaurants and small shops a decade ago, this is possible again. Just that this time Monero will take care of fungibility and low transaction fees as well.
Make it your every day challenge to ask at every POS (market, super market freelancer, hotel,...) if they accept crypto. And if not what they would need to make it possible for you - their customer.
