Komatsu PC8000 (files.catbox.moe)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by safesyrup@feddit.ch to c/cranetrainexcavators@lemmy.world

10 meter high komatsu pc8000 in a small village in Switzerland. The excavator was transported assembled by Emil Egger company and its many heavy cargo trucks and high capacity mobile cranes. Since it is not allowed to be run in Switzerland due to lacking license, it does not contain any hydraulic fluid. The excavator is coated with a special paint to protect it from eroding. Sadly, it will only be used as an exhibition piece.

Make the whole thing a museum to get kids interested in the technology.

Thats the cool thing, it will be! I‘m not sure it you will be able to climb up the stairs or only walk around it, but that‘s cool anyways.

Finding parking must be tough

Especially no sinking in a whole meter because of the weight
