Ah, I didn't realize this channel did this kind of software review as well. I wasn't expecting to have a wave of nostalgia just from watching that desktop cube spin around.

Chris Barnatt is one of my favourite people on the internet. His vocal cadence, his humour, his editing choices. It's perfection. Thanks for sharing.

He has a retro vibe going on which i like a lot. He reminds me of joy of old-school computing in 2000s.

The link was broken for me

Is there any easy way to jump to the main link when that happens? Some front ends include the link in the footer

Anyways here

Ah, sorry. I've been trying to use Invidious more, but it does seem to crap out rather often... Cheers for adding the youtube link ^^

If you like Chris Barnatt's work on Explaining Computers, you might like his work on his other channel, Nebula7Antics where he does animated shorts.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
