I accidented across this quote from Picasso

“The world today doesn't make sense,” Picasso famously said, “so why should I paint pictures that do?”

Yeah it hit hard, I am just going to leave it here...

Care to elaborate on how it hit you hard? It’s a good quip, but I personally don’t find it earth shattering.

I for one write source code that follows the same logic.

Honestly if I knew for sure I probably would have posted it here to process.

This is from an interim period between his realism and blue periods. Where he was still more or less still panting in the style of realism but the subjects looked a little grotesque.

IDK something something about his blatant rejection of the being told to dance combined with the new gilded age we are in.

This quote has reminded me of a story from Jodorowsky’s Dune.

Salvador Dali said: “I used to take long walks on the beach with Picasso, and every time we went, we found a clock buried in the sand. Tell me, have you ever been to the beach and found a clock in the sand?”

Jodorowsky thought about his reply and answered “No…”

“…but I’ve lost many of them.”
