On my multi-player play through Wyll fell hard for my Paladin (probably because he's a goody two-shoes) and when he asked him to dance I was like "sure let's have a fun time in face of this overwhelming catastrophe" and then after the dance was done I quickly realized it was quite a bit more than a dance. When I politely informed Wyll that I did not care for him in that way the look of hurt and betrayal he gave me... it made me wonder if I should quick reload and be gay for him, so I didn't hurt his feelings. -_- poor Wyll.

I guess it's kind of realistic to have people actually hurt by rejection, but damn, these dudes just be reading hints that aren't there.

Except yours, obviously, you tease.

Withers is the real catch.

[-] delicious_justice@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

Wait, you can romance Withers?

[-] Bishma@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 7 months ago

People will tell you no, I think he's just playing hard to get.

[-] delicious_justice@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Hahahah- I like your dedication.

No need to show him anything… he’s seen it.

Karlach forced my first character to do a heel-face turn when I met her

[-] Nima@leminal.space 6 points 7 months ago

he gets all of us the first time. that handsome elf.

[-] glimse@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Lae'zel got me on my first run. Back at launch when her horny meter was bugged

[-] Nima@leminal.space 4 points 7 months ago

Lae'zel almost got me too. I was so very tempted. lol

[-] glimse@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

I didn't really know what was story and what was romance until she was like "I'm gonna fuck you tonight" and my ugly gnome sheepishly said OK

[-] Nima@leminal.space 3 points 7 months ago

my bard instincts almost got me for her lol. I was like reloading saves lol.

but I'd been through the bite scene and I was interested. so every other romance option immediately got temporarily tabled. 😏

I played through 3 times but only ever romanced the women. I dunno if I could bring myself to go for Astarion though lol

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 2 points 7 months ago

He kind of grew on me by the end, after I fixed him.

Just don't ask yourself if it worked because he believes and trusts you, or because your mind worm is stronger than his.

[-] glimse@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

I'll probably never romance any of them just because I'm not into guys lol

[-] Nima@leminal.space 2 points 7 months ago

I just plan to romance everyone. even though I am doing the men first. lol

[-] aaaa@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

I have never once progressed his romance past "Sounds to me like you need a friend rather than a lover." Any other option just feels like taking advantage of an abuse victim.

[-] Nima@leminal.space 3 points 7 months ago

I suppose it could be viewed that way. But considering he understood his own feelings and even asked for intimacy later on, I don't really see it as harmful.

[-] Siethron@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

This is me but replace will with Karlach and Astarion with Shadowheart.

[-] Anticorp@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

Replace Karlach for Wyll, and replace literally every other party member for Astarion.

[-] hexabs@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

I think you misunderstood the meme. OP didn't have his Wyll romance interrupted by an annoying Astarion. OP got immediately charmed by Astarion.

I admit the choice of meme is incorrect. The boyfriend checking out the woman walking by meme fits better.

[-] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

Feels correct enough for me. Karlach hit my durge like a freight train. Forced me into a good-aligned campaign instantly
