Alberta really hates its children, huh.
As someone educated in the Alberta School board system, up to the crash in the '80s, the difference is stark and sad.
It's not much worse than other provinces I've seen (BC and ON), but they've fallen so far under the cons that it's almost heartbreaking.
They sure vote like they do.
So... this is an effort to punish any school districts that try and defend trans rights. Alberta premiere continues to be a transparently shit person.
Maybe she's trying to clinch the name on the landfill that we tried to name "Gweilo Harper Supper and Dance Club"
God I fucking hate the provincial govt here..
Teachers: "We need money for schools"
Alberta: "Only if you teach what we want you to teach"
Canada: "We'll give you money"
Alberta: "I SAID ONLY IF YOU TEACH WHAT WE WANT"
You know, for someone who makes hay hating trans people she's certainly enthusiastically transitioning into Ron DeSantis.
Bloc Québécois would win so many federal elections if they expanded outside Québec.
A federal level party... expanding into other provinces? What good would that do against a provincial party? The CAQ is the provincial party of Quebec. And it's complete shit.
In short, while the BQ obviously has Québec's interests as the reasoning, it's a confederist party; anyone who's in favour of more provincial, over federal, control would (probably) be in favour of the BQ's policies.
Alberta seems to swing that way, BC and Ontario could probably be swayed that way as well..
Yes the Bloc aligns politically with most Canadians but it’s just another left wing party splitting votes and will suffer the same as the NDP where they media paints them as super far left, they aren’t far enough left for leftists, people don’t want to vote split, and people didn’t vote for them before
